We ship Zerno grinders from our Chicago-area workshop to customers around the world. This guide answers some of the most asked questions we get from international customers.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship to select countries worldwide and keep adding more. If your country is not offered at checkout, or the shipping rate at checkout looks unusually high, email info@zerno.co before ordering with your city, postal code, and country. For destinations outside our standard checkout list, we can often arrange shipping separately and send you a custom quote and invoice.
Orders typically ship with UPS. In some situations, we use another trusted shipping partner such as DHL. International orders arrive within 14 to 21 business days of dispatch, and often within 5 to 7.
What will my total cost be?
Your total cost has two parts:
| Paid to Zerno at checkout | Paid on arrival in your country |
|---|---|
| Your grinder and add-ons, plus shipping | Import duties, taxes (including VAT), and any carrier clearance or brokerage fees |
Duties and VAT are not collected at checkout and are not included in the shipping price. The carrier collects them during customs clearance or at delivery. We cannot estimate them for you, because they depend on your country's current rules and the value of your order. Your local customs office is the most accurate source of this information.
How we report your grinder for customs. We submit all customs paperwork electronically with a detailed invoice. Details by grinder:
Z1: US tariff breakdown: what you need to know
Z2: Tariffs and the Z2: what to expect
If the carrier contacts you, they usually need you to pay duties or provide importer details such as a tax ID. See Taxes, Import Duties, and VAT.
Will my grinder work with my power supply?
Z1: See Using Your Z1 in Another Country (Voltage) and Power Cord and Plug Type for Your Z1. If you have questions, let us know your country when you order so we can confirm the right setup.
Z2: The Z2 has a universal 100 to 240V input, so it works on both US and international power. We include the matching power cord for your country when possible. See Power Cord and Plug Type for Your Z2.
I am moving before my grinder ships. What should I do?
Order with your current address and add a note about your move, or email us your order number so we can note it on our side. You can update your shipping address in your Zerno account until the change deadline in your Stage 4 email (see Editing Your Order Before It Ships). If your new address is in a different country, email us before that deadline so we can confirm the shipping charge and include the correct power cord.
How does warranty support work outside the US?
Your grinder carries the same one-year limited warranty wherever you live. See Zerno Warranty for what it covers.
Most issues never need a trip back to us. We start by diagnosing the problem remotely, and many repairs can be done at home, because our grinders are designed to be serviceable and we provide tools and detailed video guides. We are also happy to troubleshoot with you on a video call to keep downtime short.
We do not currently have a service partner outside the US. If a repair needs workshop service, the grinder comes back to our Chicago-area workshop. See Zerno Warranty and Return Policy.
Do you have distributors or stockists in Europe or other regions?
Not yet. Every Zerno ships directly from our workshop. Finding international partners is high on our priority list, but we do not have a confirmed timeline to share. Ordering directly means every grinder is built to your configuration and supported by the team that made it.
Can I use a package forwarding service?
We do not encourage it, because forwarding services are known for inconsistent handling. If you choose one, see the forwarding section of Shipping Costs, Delivery Times, and Where We Ship.
