Ordering from outside the United States? Here is how import duties, taxes, and VAT work.
How do I pay taxes, import duties, and VAT?
Import duties and taxes (including VAT) may apply to international shipments and are not included in the price. When applicable, duties and VAT are collected at the time of delivery.
We cannot estimate duties for you, because they depend on your country's rules and the value of your order. For the most accurate information, contact your local customs office.
How does Zerno report its grinders for customs?
You can read more about how we report each grinder here:
The carrier is asking me for information. What do they need?
All of our customs paperwork is submitted electronically. If the carrier contacts you, they usually need you to pay duties or provide personal importer details (such as a tax or importer ID number). Responding quickly keeps your package moving.
Will I pay import duties again if my grinder is sent in for repair?
We declare a grinder sent in for repair as goods returned for repair, not a new sale, and we do the same for the repaired grinder or parts we send back. This usually keeps you from paying full import duties on your grinder a second time, but your customs office makes the final decision.
