Moving abroad or bringing your Z1 on a long stay? The Z1 motor is built for one voltage, so please double-check before moving.
Check your Z1's voltage
Every Z1 is built for either 100 to 120V or 220 to 240V. The label on your grinder's back plate shows which one you have. Running a Z1 on the wrong voltage can damage it.
Most of North America and parts of Asia use 100 to 120V. Most of Europe, the UK, Australia, and much of Asia use 220 to 240V. Check your local voltage before plugging in.
Do not use a travel adapter
Travel plug adapters only change the shape of the plug. They do not change the voltage, and they are not built for the continuous power draw of a grinder.
Your options
Moving for the long term: the Z1 motor assembly is designed to be user-replaceable at home, so you can swap in a motor assembly built for your new voltage along with a power cord for your new country. A replacement motor with a new power cord is $250 plus shipping, and the swap takes less than 30 minutes with the tools that came with your grinder. Email info@zerno.co to order one.
Short stays: a step-up or step-down transformer rated for at least 600W works. It is bulkier on a kitchen counter, so it suits temporary use best.
Only the plug is different?
If your new country uses the same voltage as your grinder and only the outlet shape differs, you just need a new IEC C5 power cord with your local plug. See Power Cord and Plug Type for Your Z1.
