Only update your Z2's firmware when Zerno support asks you to.
Firmware updates change how your Z2's motor drive controls the motor. Most owners never need one. We'll send you here when an update can help, for example, if your Z2 has a slight vibration after a recalibration.
What you need
- A Windows, Mac, Linux, or ChromeOS computer with Chrome or Edge
- A USB-A to USB-C data cable, this gives the most reliable connection. Some cables only charge, so use one that carries data.
- Access to the USB-C port on the motor drive board. The first part of this video shows where it is.
- About five minutes, including recalibration
The updater loads here in Chrome or Edge on a computer.
